MC301 Dimethyltryptamine by jonsta

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Perfect level to start of a cup. A few styles, kinda fast speed level but absolutely no speed loop.
Designer, jonsta:I made this level in one afternoon, after a 2 year break from elma. I was really inspired so this was quite spontaneous. There's 3 main routes, all quite fast and fun to play!
1. GRob [NGT] 1. "It's gonna be fun"
2. there were two major routes, after 20 mins I decided to play this style.(was worth it)
3. after finding the route, started to hoyl the moves I just thought of. maybe 2 days later I overthought the styles and cut like 1,5.
4. there was one co-operation only, when both TTechnik and I had 52.0x, we changed some recs.

2. Lukazz [BAP] 1. The first impression
"Weird level, looks like very many styles are possible." Then I looked at the Best Times on EOL and thought: "How the hell 52?!"

2. Finding the right style
Lousku, jon and Uncle Milty sent me some basic replays, so I didn't spend very much time with stylefinding. Milty's rec included first small bounce already. Found endbounce style when I was annoyed by the normal endstyle.

3. The höyling process
On monday and tuesday I was just cruising and trying some styles. Started hoyling on wednesday as far as I remember, got 52 on thursday and soon my Top 10 was full of 52.xx. Then I started to try the enbounce, which looks much harder than it is actually, and got 51 pretty soon. Then some more hoyling on friday and after four 51.xx times and one 50.xx time I got my final time with a really lucky endbounce. I stopped playing after that. Overall I played maybe 10-15 hours.

Unfortunately my team members are nabs. :( But I always spammed Lousku's alma's and jon's MSNs when I got new times. =)

5. Other things worth mentioning
I'm really surprised that there are so many different styles, I thought everybody's going to have exactly the same style that I used. Really good first lev for a cup!

MC302 Raster by zebra

Difficulty:Easy
Description:Kinda small level. Different routes possible. No matter how you play it, you will need to hoyl your ass off!
Designer, zebra:Here is a good example of a level with multiple styles. I tried to include as many styles are practically possible. There are of course easier and harder ones. Probably some of them are faster than others. I hope that here the cruising and style testing will be crucial. After all the level is not very long so it's also an höylä event, but only after you have found the fastest style.

Tried almost every possible way,then in eol I spied some people and thought:hmm this must be the fastest style and decided to play with it.

Played 3-4 hours every day and cut off about five seconds from my first finish time within a week.

Didn't really have any,talked with kuper a bit though.
5. Other things worth mentioning
Three hours before deadline I found rec on zworqy which had much easier end-style than I used. Started quickly to play and got my time down from 37,5x to my current time (37,14).

MC303 Heartache by Ramone

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Normal Ramone-level. Turned 90 degrees, sideways gravity. Low speed level. Might be some cool tricks here.
Designer, Ramone:I had to work hard to get this as basic as I wanted, without loosing its complexity. I like it alot!

The level seemed quite tricky at first and it became quickly obvious that the 2nd apple must be taken directly, but it was hard to say how difficult it was going to be. For the same reason it was hard to say whether the level was going to be fun or really annoying. I didn't really mind the gravity, but I was sure that it was going to put off many players so it could be possible to get some easy points.

2. Finding the right style
Taking the 2nd apple directly reasonably often was quite important. After some playing I started to get it relatively often so the level became more höyläble. First I played the lower route (kinda like LaZy) but I decided that the bounce in the end was just too tricky and the upper route seemed more höyläble and quite fast as well. I still think the bounce is probably faster but I just didn't bother to play it. I probably should have tried it more given how much I ended up playing anyways. After deciding about the upper route, I still changed my style quite a few times. First I played some hang style at the arrow (like J-sim), then I tried a bit to get it directly and finally started using the slide. At first the slide seemed difficult, but I became more ambitious the more I played so I decided to try it a bit. In the end it was a lot easier than I first expected. Also for a while I höyled a weird bounce at the "tunnel" part of the level to make the turn faster, but it seemed to be slower.

3. The höyling process
I started on Wednesday and played a bit everyday. I think I played overall 30-40h, way more than I initially thought I was going to spend on the level. I became more ambitious the more I played and tried more difficult styles. Also I quite liked the level because of the trickiness.

4. Other players' reactions and co-operation
I was mostly co-operating with Apelgam and Jalli. I also had a short discussion with Zweq, but he hadn't tried the level much. Many kuskis seemed to be discouraged by the difficult styles and the gravity.

5. Other things worth mentioning
I completely overlooked the other start style and I hadn't thought about adi's style at all either. Very nice and complex level by Ramone!



MC304 Dead Sun by Zero

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Labytinthish and stylish over 1 min lev. This requires some thinking.
Designer, Zero:Started make some random ballelev. After some time saw it's cooler lev than my levs usually so made pics and grass too. Then I joined TAP. I hadn't made any MC events yet so gave this to zebra and ram so they can test it, and they chose it ;)

MC305 Slavery by FinMan

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Most speedy level of cup. Still many tricks/styles might be doable.
Designer, FinMan:A level that was first made in a hurry. It was quite a bit of a one-style level but after all after a few fixes it became a höylable level with various things to be done.

"Cool lev, looks like many styles are possible here. Will be tricky to find the right one!"

2. Finding the right style
Wasn't that hard actually. My first finish was 1.14 with some mega nab style, then i tried some weird start style where i tried to jump to the first curvy hang polygon. That didn't seem to work so well. Then i tried an "easier" version of my final style, where I didn't jump to first apple directly, but hanged on this curvy hang poly before. That was kinda annoying. Then I found the real style for the first apple accidentally. The rest of the lev was kinda obvious.

3. The höyling process
Really not much to tell here. Cruised 5 mins on monday, 30 mins on friday and hoyled about 3-5 hours on saturday.

No cooperations, only some "nice rec" reactions when I got the time and sent rec.

5. Other things worth mentioning
The end is so freaking luckbased with my "style". 95% of the time you bounce too early or too late and you bang your head somewhere, and 5% of the time it's fucking fast. But really nice lev. :)

MC306 Migraine throw up by Ramone

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Big level, many styles. Many jumps and plenty of airtime. Maybe some crazy shortcuts available.
Designer, Ramone:This level grew bit bt bit a long time, I raised it like a kid of my own.
1. Mielz [EF] 1. The first impression
"Damn, why sach big and multistyle lev again, I hate those D:"
2. Finding the right style
I've seen the route nearly immediately and checked if the double apples shortcut was possible, and it was hard but doable. Haven't seen any other decent one so i started playing this route. At first I used some slow styles, but within 4 days I had found all the best moves I could come up with, like the 2nd apple or the upper part.
3. The höyling process
Played this event every day, more or less, and spent really much time at this level. Finding better styles and difficulty in making decent run kinda forced me to hoyl more. And finally seeing Bjorn doing better time than me fairly easy, so I wanted to beat him this time :D
4. Other players' reactions and co-operation
I exchanged my ideas with jblaze at first and he suggested me one minor trick. My teammate, Bjorn, was lazy this time and just copyed the recs I've sent him =D We knew we had a chance to win, but I expected that some pro like GRob, adi or Lukazz will have better time than me.
5. Other things worth mentioning
I'm not 100% satisfied with the rec, but it was impsy for me to get good start, lucky 2nd apple turn and clean end in one run, so it is okay. I don't like most of sach levs, but I really enjoyed hoyling this one :)

EYAH this lev is going to be fun! Long hoyla is my specialty.
2. Finding the right style
This was fairly easy, just watched Mielz recs. I actually took a 30 sec look at lev in ALE first day but didn't start to play until last days.

PutteD some hours actually into this event in the weekend 2-3 days before dödline.
4. Other players' reactions and co-operation
Mielz getting mad because I drove fast time quicker than him. But he is great co-op in this event for my part.
5. Other things worth mentioning
I'm glad for Mielz that he won, he deserved it because he found so nice styles. He secretly höylade last two days so I wouldnt know about his new time and beat it ¨=D I knew we would have good chances for top 3 looking at EOL times.

MC307 Highland by zebra

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Hangs and islands. Hard to find styles. Smartest guy wins!
Designer, zebra:This level has kind of layers. You start up there in a beautiful valley with triangles floating in the air. You continue using the hangs above and in the end go to the caves below. There is one crucial apple placed so that you can pick it in the valley or in the cave.

WOW, great lev! Two opposite routes with lots of tricks to find and apples in so key places... Pure excellence from master Zebra!

2. Finding the right style
This was pretty easy, after I tried right apple first and then noticed that with middle apple this route was only a bit slower and after seeing how fast hangs below the roof... it was obvious choice.

3. The höyling process
First of all standart two hours of hoyl right after previous deadline where I tried all possible styles. Finished 48.xx with different style, but proper style was already found. Then half an hour on thursday with lucky 44.68 time afrer several 45.mid/high finishes. And in conclusion an hour on sunday where I improved my start style with alo on 7th second. It was rather random style but nice grip after alo was so fast! And surprisingly I managed to get my fastest ever first apple with decent second and almost clean last part... BAM 44.04. And it was more than enough for me, I sent rec and forget about the cup for a day.

Difficulty:Easy
Description:Very easy to finish, harder to win. Straight forward level. Put on your hoyla-hat.

MC309 Mescalito by jonsta

Difficulty:Hard
Description:As always jonsta makes the freak-lev, its the longest level of the cup and has many different parts. Including gravity and hangs. Style is of the essence.
Designer, jonsta:I spent quite some time working on this one. It's big and a bit confusing, that's why I tried to keep minimum picture usage. Impossible styles are possible. PS: easy points for the smartest style finder!

MC310 Stealing Your Gravity by Zero

Difficulty:Medium
Description:Awesome level with gravity, a few styles will be possible. Only one Up and one Down apple, basic.
Designer, Zero:Ramone said that my gravlevs are cool, so I made few of those. this was surprisingly nice and we choose it to MC.

MC311 Streamlined by zebra

Difficulty:Hard
Description:As zebra as it gets! Hardcore hard hoyla. You guys will love this! High speed level.
Designer, zebra:There are quite many levels in this cup that involve a lot of stylefinding. This is not one of those levs. This is straightforward level but it has many hard tricks which you have to make successfully to get a good time. Lots of höyling needed too.

MC312 Tapped by team TAP

Difficulty:Medium
Description:A co-operate level made by four TAP members (Ramone, zebra, FinMan, Zero). This is not a conventional chain level where each member makes one part. Instead, we edited the same level and each of us made one curve or one polygon at a time and then we finalized the level and ended up with a pretty nice framed level with lots of styles.
Designer, Ramone:
Designer, zebra:I have always been suspicious of these kind of chain levels... they never work :) But I could refine the level and add some crucial apples and this seems like a perfect cup level. Lots of styles, lots of easy ones and maybe some harder ones too.
